I purchased this ‘11th’ generation model after upgrading from the 7th Generation. The reason why I put ‘11th’ is because like someone else has said in their review, the about page on the tablet states 10th generation. If you look on your Amazon account online though it shows 11th.I can say it’s a worthy upgrade, the sound quality on this is much better than the previous 7th gen, I also had an Fire HD 8 but again, this 11th generation model beats it hands down. It’s a lot quicker in comparison as you would expect. I mainly use mine to stream online services, it’s great for this and for the likes of Netflix, Disney plus, iPlayer, Twitch, ITV hub, Sky Go, BT Sport, the list goes on…Please bare in mind when buying this requires a USB-C cable for charging, my previous 7th gen took a micro usb cable. I only have noted this because although it comes supplied, I like a longer cable so I will order a longer USB-C cable separately.Whilst it is very similar to my older 7th gen, the new one is smaller and lighter but a little taller. I would say it’s definitely worth upgrading if you are deliberating. I guess it depends how much you use your current one, if you have one already of course. I use mine daily so I am more than happy to buy the latest one knowing it will get plenty of use!

The Fire was well packed with clear instructions on getting started. It works in the same way my phone does so easy to pick up how to make the best use of it. I managed to find my way round the different apps already loaded and found it very simple to add some additional ones that I use all the time on my phone. My husband has poor eyesight but he is thrilled with the clarity of the screen and how easy it is to navigate round his favourite films on UTube.I wish I had bought one sooner as it is easy to use with no set up hassles.

I have been trying to get a jack of all trades master of all tablet for ages..to put all my lifetime media on, edit video, use daily, save movies, and wrongfully figured the new Air 4 2020 Apple with 256GB would be the one…well, no, with the user unfriendly OS,lack of easy down and upload it was only irritating. So, I saved 500 quid, and bought THIS beauty! My husband is using it…so smooth, top quality, ease of use, and allows any Android downloads of apps, even with no sign in. Takes 1T card..unlike other tablets easy C USB OTG memiry stick…not a problem in sight…pure genius of a tablet..I got the no ads version. Thanks AMAZON…love you ALL!

This review is for the All-new Fire HD 10 tablet | 10.1″, 1080p Full HD, 32 GB, Black – with Ads.This product arrived well packaged and on time. The device itself is amazing, for what you pay you get a top quality device. I purchased the one with ads and what that means is on the locked screen you get some ads about amazon prime and coins and few other things. The device screen is amazing and crystal clear. You can get pretty much all the apps on this device that you can get on the android or apple devices. it is fast and has great sound. Personally i love it so does my soon. Saved me a good few hundred pounds as was planning on getting an iPad which is pretty much 3 times the price.Great product by amazon. Also it has built in Alexa which is amazing. We took the tablet away with us on holiday and we had alexa with us everywhere, We could even control our home lights from the hotel.. amazing.Update: On prime day they had this product for £79… absolute steel at that price!!

A first class tablet. This one is the latest generation and I have an earlier generation pad – if I compare them both, they are great machines, but the latest generation with updates, processes etc – this is a superb buy.I am hoping that Amazon will sell the keypad for this so I can really be up to date.Again a superb, capable and well worth the money machine.

Very well made and faster than I expected. While no match for an IPad Pro it’s still a great buy. 3gb ram makes a big difference to the older models. 64gb storage and up to 1tb expansion makes it idea for storage.Screen is clear and sharp and HD movies play very well. A good value product and worth the money.

I use my Samsung note 20 ultra phone but reading newspapers or watching video stretches the eyes after a while so decided to go for the latest 11th generation Fire HD 10inch on prime day. A great bargain. The Fire tablet is amazingly bright and very responsive and the amazon app now has many of the applications which were missing when I got a 7inch fire 4+ years ago. The extra memory makes it perform faster than predecessors and the processor is certainly no slouch. My wife has the Samsung tablet and my daughter the Ipad; the Fire display matches the Samsung and comes close to the Ipad; the Ipad at several times the cost is superior but not on value for money as a general but somewhat limited purpose everyday facility. The Fire android looks dated when you are used to seeing the latest customisable versions but entirely serviceable and robust. It was easy to load Chrome and android Play store to get a few missing apps used on my phone. The Fire is great for downloading from BBC Iplayer and Amazon to have a library of entertainment when wifi is unavailable. The sound is fine but I use bluetooth earphones. The battery life is all they promise! The weight is such that it is best to prop it on lap or similar if being used extensively.I was very tempted by the keyboard case but it seems expensive compared to the tablet and is heavy and for serious keyboard work I would use my laptop anyway. All cases add to the weight so I just use a sleeve. The camera(s) is of no importance other than as a very occasional skype/teams webcam as the camera in the Note phone is exceptional! Don’t think I would even think of the Fire as a camera except for something trivial. The adverts distract but is it worth paying to remove them as it is a minor irritancy! Like most adverts it becomes easy to not even see them after a while.I use a paperwhite Kindle reader everyday but it is useful that you can use the Fire HD and interface to the the Kindle library and your own library particularly for Kindle shopping and magazines. The one negative I would bring is the lack of ability to mirror the device to my tv and its firestick as I can for the phone and other tablets.

This is a review for the Fire HD10. If you’re looking for a proper tablet that you can use to work on and run all the apps that you are used to using in the Google Play or Apple app store, or for video / photo editing, then you should avoid any Fire tablet like the plague. It will just frustrate and disappoint you in equal amounts. The Amazon App store does have some popular apps (e.g. BBC News (no Guardian), Instagram, Twitter) but is missing the vast majority of popular apps. However, if like me, you are looking for a streaming device to on which to watch popular and legitimate streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 (and you can watch YouTube through the web browser) etc., these apps are available in the Amazon App store and it is unbeatable on quality for the price (but buy on Amazon Prime Day or a Black Friday event when it is likely to be half price). If you want to to mainly watch NOW TV best avoid it as the NOW TV app is not available on the Fire tablets despite now being available on the Firestick. Maybe in the future?I also read a lot of Kindle books and listen to Audible everyday. However, I only every listen to audible on my phone when I am out walking / running, and the screen on the HD10 is really too big to comfortably read Kindle books – I still use my very old bog standard Kindle device for that (easier to hold and no reflection from the light). However, the size and quality of the screen of the HD10 has allowed me to read some magazines, such as The Week, through the Kindle Store (or Amazon App Store) that would have been a miserable experience on a phone or smaller screen (and too unwieldy on a laptop). So to summarise, I mainly the Fire HD10 to watch streaming services and live TV (e.g. through the iPlayer / ITV Hub) when running on the treadmill or when someone else in the family is monopolising the ‘big TV.’ It’s been brilliant to watch the Euros football on, avoiding everyone else complaining about football always being on the TV. It’s a big enough screen with enough quality to really enjoy and get absorbed in watching, unlike a smaller tablet or phone. If streaming films and TV from popular and legitimate services is what you really need a tablet for I would say buy this with absolutely no hesitation but if you’re looking for more than that from a tablet you will be disappointed and I wouldn’t touch it with a barge poll.Oh, and only buy it on an Amazon Prime day / a Black Friday event when it is likely to be half price. Never buy a relatively expensive Amazon device on any other day.

Can’t fault this ultra lightweight tablet which works at speed all the time. So easy to use….I purchased the Amazon Keyboard which effectively turns it into a laptop. A little expensive but its well worth it as it fits perfectly and affords total protection for the tablet and works seamlessly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Amazon Fire 10 HD 2021.
